Lemonheep's Web-space!

Now on Hugo!

So, after multiple weeks of low-maintenance, I was able to pull off a drastic(-ish) redesign of my website! Besides being back in dark mode again for those who care (I can, and in fact, did go either way as it also has a light theme now), I’ve given it some behind-the-scenes automation that’s made it much easier and cozier for me to publish my works than before.

Specifically, it’s now being built with Hugo, one of the world’s fastest static-site-generators! Basically, for all of you non-nerds out there, it’s fast and light on resources just like building a website from scratch, but it’s almost as automated as running a Wordpress blog. It isn’t something that you will notice at first, considering that I just made that change, but you should see things get updated more frequently over the next few months. However, it will take a while before stuff that was in my old from-scratch website will be back in this website, though. The main thing was that I wanted to create something more maintainable than the absolute spaghetti of from-scratch blogging in the future, but in the meantime, there’s still a lot of art and writings I’ve uploaded then that will still take some (even if less) time to re-publish. Still, I hope that this change will be comfy enough for you all, as it will only feel even more complete over time.

After playing a StreetPass Mii Plaza game of some kind, my player (instantly for some reason) walks from it into An Animal Crossing house with mainly modern cabana furniture. After exploring some of its rooms, I moved the camera, revealing multiple sets of stairs in a hallway that the player can use to go to all of the rooms at once, from the third floor (labeled as the second floor for some reason) down to the second basement floor. I thought about just how rich the player is for having a multi-floor house with more than three rooms. While the top floors are the same as the rest of the house, though, the house from the basement floor starts to look like an unmaintained barnhouse. Going even lower into the second basement floor, there’s a series of half-lit rooms that are for feeding barn animals until you reach the end, where you find a dark room with a half-open sliding door, multiple buckets of hay, and multiple Animal Crossing horse villagers inside. They chant “horse-feeding supply.” over and over, as if to celebrate their meal as a cult group.

New Fone, What This

Sat, 07 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000

So, recently, one of my older siblings gifted me an iPhone 14! She had heard of how funky my Galaxy S7 has been getting (no hotspot, Android 8 losing support), and she had upgraded to a Galaxy S Ultra series phone anyways, so she felt that it’d be better for me to upgrade. Setting it up was initially rough, though. She accidentally forgot that phone’s passcode, and at first, I thought that I could just restore it with a computer. Yet, over and over, the restore process would keep failing with an 1109 error code. Worse, it was not reassuring that on the Apple forums and Reddit, others’ solutions were too drastic to be feasible for me, such as that they have had to restore with their Macs, which I don’t own, or restore with Windows 10, which would take hours of backup and reinstallation. I personally had to turn off the firewall and anti-virus protection on Windows Defender during the restore process, which is dangerous for the computer for obvious reasons. Still, though, I was eventually able to get the phone restored with that solution. Another problem was that even after restoring, the phone was iCloud-locked, requiring me to type in my older sister’s iCloud account information. For many others, this shit means an iPhone is now e-waste. You just cannot use a device like that anymore. This was not too bad for me, though, since I just told her that it needed the iCloud login, and unlike the passcode, she still remembered it. Afterwards, the rest of the iPhone setup was smooth-sailing.

So, who am I?

I am Lemonheep, a queer nerd who is mainly a hobbyist 2D artist and aspriring system administrator, but often also a home cook and a gamer. I’ve mostly been doing small projects here and there in my free time, though I hope to get better at things like making comics, 3D art, and webdev in the future.

While I don’t really game too often, it’s an enjoyable time whenever I set aside the time for it. Video games reward puzzle-solving and quick thinking, plus many of their worlds are amazing to explore in.

Some of my favorite games are:
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
